Cubic Earns $15 Million in Follow-on Business for High-Frequency
and Direction-Finding Communications Systems

SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 26, 2007 --- Defense communications product orders continue to remain strong for Cubic Defense Applications, the defense segment of Cubic Corporation (Amex: CUB), with approximately $15 million in sales in FY07 for communications and direction-finding (DF) equipment.

The Canadian Department of National Defence has ordered $1.2 million worth of Cubic’s direction-finding (DF) systems. Cubic has now sold close to $3 million of these systems to Canada in the past two years for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) needs, with additional orders expected in 2007.

Cubic also received a $1.2 million order for multiple sets of its CDA 3280 and CDR 3580 VHF/UHF receivers from Argon ST of Fairfax, Virginia. The VHF/UHF receivers are part of Increment E of the U.S. Navy’s Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) communications program.

Cubic Defense Applications (CDA), one of Cubic Corporation’s major segments, is a world leader in realistic combat training systems, mission support services and defense electronics. The corporation's other major segment, Cubic Transportation Systems, designs and manufactures automatic fare collection systems for public mass transit authorities.
