Cubic Showcases Latest Live and Virtual Training Systems at IDEX 2009

SAN DIEGO, California - February 23, 2009 - Cubic (NYSE: CUB), a global leader in combat training, will showcase some of its latest live and virtual training systems at IDEX 2009, the premier tri-service show for the Middle East and North African region.

Cubic representatives will be present from February 22-26 in Stand A25 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Cubic's MILES laser-based Individual Weapon System (IWS) now is in use at the U.S. Army's National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Calif. MILES IWS will be on display at IDEX, as well as the MILES Personal Area Network (PAN), a wireless version that is now being used by an Asian ally.

Cubic will demonstrate its new virtual dismounted soldier system, an enhanced compact, interoperable, single-shooter version of Cubic's very successful Engagement Skills Trainer (EST 2000). This leading-edge soldier skills training system facilitates training a soldier in a small, undedicated area while offering the same fidelity and capabilities as the EST 2000 currently in use in Jordan and United Arab Emirates.

Cubic will also present the Javelin Basic Skills Trainer, a virtual computer-based training system for training Javelin missile system operators. This system provides preprogrammed scenarios for classroom training in field surveillance, target location and acquisition. Operating controls faithfully replicate those found on the actual equipment.

The defense segment of Cubic Corporation is a world leader in realistic combat training systems, mission support services and defense electronics. The corporation's other major segment, Cubic Transportation Systems, designs and manufactures automatic fare collection systems for public mass transit authorities.
